FAQ’s about contacting the Kratt Brothers

1. How can my child write the Kratt Brothers?

Unfortunately, at the moment, because the Kratts are producing their new show Wild Kratts, they are unable to respond to any fan mail or emails. For a long time, they did accept fan mail, but they hadn’t antcipated how many children would write to them, and send them such beautiful drawings and letters. At one point, they estimated it would take several years if they were to respond to each letter. And they felt badly about not being able to write back. So the decision was made not to accept fan mail and emails because they believe that any kid who sends something deserves to get something back. And unless they gave up making their shows, that just wasn’t possible. They hope you understand.

2. My child is ill and his/her wish is to spend time with the Kratt Brothers.

The Kratt Brothers do grant wishes when possible. Please be in touch with your local wish organization and they will reach out to us on your behalf. They include Make A Wish, The Wish Foundation and The Starlight Wish Foundation. They are very caring people who will do everything possible to make the wishes of eligible children come true.

3. I want to be on/write for/be part of/intern on your show.

Thanks so much and we’d love to have you if we could. We get many such requests every week. We are not currently accepting resumes for any positions but the Kratts thank you so much for your interest.

4. I want to talk to the Kratt Brothers about how they got started to better help me prepare for my own career.

The Kratts receive dozens of requests a month to coach or advise emerging filmmakers, writers, actors, conservationists, very cool kids and young adults on career choices. And they would love to help each and every kid and parent that reaches out to them but they can’t. They wish you great luck as you embark on your career, particularly if you are going down the road of working with animals or producing quality children’s entertainment. Study hard, work hard, be patient, and seize opportunities that get you closer to your dream. That’s what the Kratts did and they hope it works for you too.

5. Where can I get Wild Kratts or Zoboomafoo merchandise?

Good news! Wild Kratts DVD’s are available. You can read the PBS press release about the Wild Kratts DVD releaseĀ  here. Your best bet for most Zoboomafoo merchandise is likely on Ebay.

6. Can I book the Kratts for my child’s birthday party or school event?

There is an appearance fee to book the Kratts, and it does not alter or come down for a more intimate event like a birthday party. The fee is necessarily beyond the budget of most birthday parties and school events.

7. How can we get the Kratts to come to our area?

Generally, the Kratts perform in gated areas that charge admission, usually somewhere like a zoo with a great big grassy field. If you want the Kratts to come to your area, and know of a place that would fit the bill, your best bet is to reach out to the venue or zoo and ask if they would consider booking the Kratt Brothers.
